Republican Senator Pat Roberts of Kansas has chosen to retire rather than face the voters in his state after both voting to confirm Brett Kavanaugh and to pass Donald Trump’s dangerous tax scam. The GOP tax scam has many similarities to the failed tax policies in his home state of Kansas that helped lead to that red state electing a Democratic Governor in 2018. And so Roberts chose to get out rather than face the music.
This open seat would be a great chance to build on the gains of the 2018 election. And we are determined to make sure the people of Kansas don’t forget where Roberts and other Republicans in the state stood on these key issues.
