In interviews, Sasse says all the right things to try and make Americans believe he’s a reasonable Republican who isn’t afraid to push back against President Trump. But if that’s true, why has Sasse consistently voted with Trump’s agenda? Sasse voted to pass a tax scam to give more tax breaks to the wealthy at the expense of the middle class, and voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
